Statement of Funding
HelpHorizons.com has multiple sources of revenue. These include:
- Basic membership fees:
Mental health professionals that register to use HelpHorizons pay a membership
fee each month, and are charged for each transaction, such as online sessions and secure e-mail usage;
- Sponsorship revenues:
Organizations pay a set fee to sponsor specific areas of content on the site;
- Revenue sharing from E-commerce: HelpHorizons.com receives a set percentage of
revenue derived from every sale made through this Web site by one of our partners; and
- Private investment:
HelpHorizons receives much of its funding from corporations and individuals
that recognize the potential of our business model.
These sources of revenue enable HelpHorizons.com to provide quality resources and a
high level of service to our users. Given that, we would like to clearly state that
no source of revenue, no matter how significant, will, in any way, affect the
day-to-day decisions of our Editorial Board. HelpHorizons has committed itself to publishing only
that which it feels is of use to and appropriate for the general public and
member professionals, including articles submitted by member professionals for
publication on the site. If, for whatever reason, a revenue source (for
example, a sponsor) has had some impact on a resource found in
HelpHorizons.com, that source will be identified and its impact will be
clearly stated. HelpHorizons.com accepts no advertising at this time.
